Greg Boeder, Senior PartnerGreg Boeder is a trained Mechanical engineer who has spent more than 12 years investigating companies and market segments for leading international clients as part of his market research career. Boeder also has a MBA with an emphasis on venture strategy and marketing from St. Thomas University, a leading Midwest business school. Boeder spent 2 years managing the business strategy group at Born Information Services, Minneapolis. At the time, Born was one of the most successful and fastest growing information technology consulting companies in the country. Boeder researched and developed competitive analyses of IT companies and IT segments for Born clients and as part of Born’s growth strategy through partnerships and acquisitions. Boeder continued to develop his intelligence gathering skills his after moving to a Minneapolis-based international research firm that specialized in gas and diesel-powered equipment. His leading clients included international investors who retained Boeder to research investment and acquisition targets in the U.S. and elsewhere. In 2001, Boeder co-founded Power Products Marketing, Minneapolis, with his long-time associate Dave Crocker, who also specialized in research and analysis of power-related equipment companies. While Boeder has developed extensive Internet-oriented data searching skills—and the company subscribes to a number of highly sophisticated data tracking services such as PACER (courts), NEXUS-LEXUS, Bill of Lading Service, and High Beam Research— he also has developed finely tuned interview skills. He’s successfully interviewed individual dealers and conducted 20 focus groups of both dealers and consumers in the past two years. It’s not unusual for Boeder to visit a plant town to gather corporate intelligence from employees and former employees of a target company. Boeder has authored reports and led team research projects on projects ranging from the market potential for a new off-road vehicle to heavy-duty gas turbines to U.S. and international distribution strategies for a global leading logistics company. |
